How expungement law benefits young criminals

by Administrator 18. November 2009 04:43

Expungement law is especially useful for young offenders. Because young people convicted of crimes can sometimes get these crimes off their records, expungement law can improve their future prospects.

One of the purposes of expungment is to give criminals a second chance. Without the opportunity for expungement, many criminals would face difficulties garnering future jobs.

For instance, many employers will investigate a potential employees criminal record. If that criminal record contains serious felonies or worse crimes, then the employee will likely not be hired.
